June’s Walkabout on Track to Sell Out Early

Locals are urged to claim their tickets to this year’s Rutherglen Winery Walkabout, with fears they may miss out.

Tickets to the Queen’s Birthday long weekend event were released online less than two weeks ago, with around a third of the tickets (4,000) already sold.

Natalie Ajay, Executive Officer for Winemakers of Rutherglen says the event is proving a bigger hit than ever before.

“Ticket sales are stronger than we’ve ever seen them,” Natalie said.

“It really illustrates a huge demand for one of Australia’s oldest and best festivals.”

Last year the event attracted more than 13,000 people over two days.

“We’re expecting a slightly higher number this year, although we’ll be monitoring ticket sales closely to make sure we can manage the bumper crowds and provide a safe, fun and enjoyable atmosphere for guests,” Natalie said.
