Beechworth cordial makers, Billson’s want locals to voice their opinion on which flavour should be added to the company’s existing range of gourmet cordials.

New Director of Billson’s Brewery, Nathan Cowan says Beechworth’s favourite flavour will mark the start of the company’s re-branding.

“I’m excited about the new direction Billson’s is taking and we want to include the Beechworth community as part of the process,” Nathan said.

Billson’s saw its gourmet cordial business soar in the 1920’s when the Temperance Movement put a stop to its beer production.

The brewery’s Beechworth site was originally chosen when a pure natural mountain spring, flowing all the way from Mount Buffalo, was discovered there.

At the moment there are fifteen flavours in its existing range; Sarsaparilla, Portello, Raspberry Vinegar, Brewed Ginger, Lime, Sicilian Blood Orange, Lemon Ginger, Mint Julep, Chilli Punch, Lemon Lime & Bitters, Peppermint, Lime & Coconut, Spice Apple, Cloves and St Clements.

Anyone in the Beechworth community can voice their opinion on the proposed new cordial favour by visiting the retail store at 29 Last Street, Beechworth or via their Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/Billsons1865/

Feedback is sought from Friday 1 December to Wednesday 20 December.
