If you’re into sport, music, markets or fun for the kids, here are five ideas for weekend fun around Albury Wodonga and surrounds.

Markets – Wodonga Car Boot Market

Someone’s trash is another person’s treasure as locals line up their cars filled with items they no longer need at the Wodonga Car Boot Market.

There are over 45 spots available, with cars set and up trading from 8:00 to 12:00pm at Gateway Island Wodonga on Sunday.

Live Music – Eurogliders, Albury

If you were a fan of the Eurogliders in the 80’s you can reflect on their hits as they perform at in The Studio at the SS&A on Friday night.

Eurogliders at the SS&A

Within a decade of forming in 1981, the Eurogliders had recorded four albums, enjoyed a multitude of chart topping singles and been awarded a swag of awards.

Today, some 25 years later, the relationship between that singer and that songwriter may have changed but the love of performing and their long enduring friendship continues every night on stage.

Sport – O&M Grand Final, Wangaratta

Enjoy a family day out with the SS&A Ovens and Murray Grand Final at Norm Minns Oval on Sunday.

It will be a family day out with activities for the kids including jumping castles, rides, face-painting and games.

Wangaratta takes on Lavington in the football, while Corowa-Rutherglen plays Wangaratta in the A-grade netball final.

A new twilight youth festival is on Friday night designed to engage young people in rich and authentic learning experiences.

Street Jam is a Two Cities One Community initiative that was developed as part of the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) to create a festival style event that is organised and implemented by youth for youth.

Street Jam brings together sport and recreation, arts and culture, food, music and community to celebrate and reflect the diversity of our young people.

The event will be held at Wodonga Senior Secondary College from 4pm to 10pm and is aimed at 14 to 20 year olds.
