Need some ideas to get your weekend sorted? Here are five things happening around Albury Wodonga and surrounds.
Festival – Beechworth Celtic Festival
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Beechworth Celtic Festival which sees a return some free entertainment in the streets in the centre of town – think Celtic music, pipe bands and Irish dancing.
There will be also a food court and Celtic markets all in the Main Street of town. The Rotary Markets will be held as always in Queen Victoria Park.
Theatre – Sunset Strip, Wodonga
HotHouse Theatre presents Sunset Strip performing this weekend. Winner of the 2018 Griffin Award, Suzie Miller examines all manners of love, family dysfunction and making the best of life’s challenging situations.
Equally moving and hopeful, Sunset Strip finds the humour in some of the big issues in life. Performing at Hume Bank Butter Factory Theatre at Gateway Island.
Relax – Food Trucks, Albury
The food trucks return to Albury’s Street Food & Bar at the SS&A on Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm – 10pm
Enjoy some scrumptious, casual food, al fresco style as the sun goes down.
Family Fun – Wodonga Toy Library Birthday Celebrations
To celebrate Wodonga Toy Library turning 40, the Toy Library is hosting a family friendly party on Saturday including a free sausage sizzle, jumping castle, face painting and big toy play!
Wodonga Toy Library is a not for profit volunteer community group that provides over 800 fun and educational toys for children from birth to 6 years of age.
The birthday party is Saturday from 10am – 1pm at Wodonga West Primary School
Arts & Culture – Ann Killeen and Paul Blake Photographic Exhibition, Rutherglen.
Ann Killeen and Paul Blake are well known in for capturing the beauty of the four seasons of Rutherglen through their photography.
Their exhibition entitled “A Bridge With A View” features many photographs the pair have taken of the views, vines and wildlife at Pfeiffer Wines from their Sunday Creek Vineyard and Sunday Creek Bridge.
