Fashion’s Finest to Launch Spring Summer Collections

Junction Place will be transformed for the GO Local Fashion Show in October.

Local fashion houses and designers are preparing for this year’s GO Fashion Show on Sunday 13 October at Junction Place Wodonga.

More than 200 garments and styles from 21 local retailers and fashion labels will be featured in the stylish runway show, along with hairdressers, makeup artists and associated industries.

Organiser Bernadette Torresan, from Go Local Media says the Show gives talented locals a platform to showcase the incredible talent our region has to offer.

“In our busy lives we can sometimes overlook how important it is to acknowledge the amazing and beautiful work created in our region,” Bernadette explained.

“The show is also designed to assist local business in an ever-growing battle against online shopping.

“It is difficult to compete against online markets that saturate their presence. This is an opportunity for the community to get behind and support the local economy,” she said.

The GO Fashion Show, presented by Myer Centrepoint, will hold a launch day on 24 September ahead of the October event with organisers encouraging those wishing to attend to secure their tickets early.

“The sold out success from last year’s show highlights the desire for people to come out and support, hence why the show is returning in 2019,” Bernadette said.

“It is a mammoth task to bring together those involved to create the show however it’s every bit worth the hard work.”
