A local travel agency specialising in the needs of business and corporate travellers in the region has been revealed to the Albury Wodonga business community at a Business After Hours event.

Platinum Travel Management Albury has been formed by the owner of Albury Travel, Jacqui Nelson.

“We have quite a successful leisure and holiday travel agency, but in the last couple of years we recognised that dedicated services for businesses and corporate travellers in the region weren’t being offered, particularly for small and medium businesses,” Jacqui said.

“We found that in managing their business travel, some companies were either hamstrung by technologies that were inflexible because they were designed for large

global businesses – or they were using ad hoc processes across different sites and suppliers,” Jacqui said.

“The result was a lot of businesses didn’t really have a handle on what their travel spend was, and whenever they needed to change something – the re-booking and altering was a nightmare.”

Through a joint venture with the owners of Platinum Travel Corporation, Platinum Albury has now been established.

“They are one of the most progressive, family owned travel management systems in Australia,” Jacqui said.

“Platinum Albury will operate out of the same offices as Albury Travel in Dean Street, but we work with people, technology and systems that is specific to corporate travel.”
