The Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway has been recognised as the International Quality Hotel of the Year at the Choice Hotels International Convention in Las Vegas.
Hosted by one of the world’s largest hotel groups, the annual ‘Best of Choice’ awards recognises the business’s top-performing franchisee properties globally.
The Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway was chosen from more than 300 Quality Hotels spanning Europe, Asia, Canada and Mexico that were also nominated for the title.
Owners and operators of the family-run property, Wendy and Peter Lester travelled to Las Vegas to accept the award and paid tribute to their staff.
“This recognition is testament to our team’s passion for hospitality and their ongoing commitment to go the extra mile to exceed the expectations of our guests,’ Wendy said.
The hotel offers 77 accommodation options and boasts a restaurant that celebrates the best of the region’s wine, dairy and artisan produce, which has also won TAA Regional Hotel Restaurant of the Year in 2014 and a finalist in 2015, 2016 & 2017.
